What resolution should my scans be?
For most printing jobs 300 dpi.

Why is the color on my monitor different from the color on your laser proof?
Monitors use red, green and blue (RGB) to create color. Printed materials, on the other hand, use cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) to create color. In order to ensure the closest possible color match, all image files must be converted from RGB to CMYK.

What are RGB and CMYK?
RGB and CMYK are acronyms for different methods of displaying color. RGB stands for Red, Green, and Blue, while CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black. (K is used for Black instead of B to avoid confusion with Blue.)

Can I set my pictures in RGB?
Because offset printing use CMYK inks, digital art must be created in CMYK color or must be converted from RGB color to enable use. All pictures and line art should be in the CMYK mode.
